Relationships without Fear
Relationships without Fear is a preventative, education programme delivered which has been delivered in schools, colleges and community groups across Staffordshire and Cheshire since 2002. These programmes aim to break the cycle of domestic abuse by educating children and young people on healthy relationships and domestic abuse.
Programmes can be delivered across primary, secondary and college age young people, with sessions tailored to match the individual ages, abilities and needs of the group.
Topics across the programme explore healthy and unhealthy relationships, safety and support, gender stereotypes, consent, boundaries and managing relationships.
Each full programme includes specialist delivery by a domestic abuse facilitator who is trained specifically to work with children and young people, materials and activities, and a full, evidence-based impact report for each provider detailing the impact on the group using quantitative data gathered. Staff are also trained to deal with any disclosures during the sessions and can support further with one-to-one support and referrals to other agencies where appropriate.

Relationships without Fear awareness sessions
We offer shorter, awareness building sessions which range from assemblies to full hour sessions.
Assemblies are offered across KS1 to KS5 and help students to identify healthy and unhealthy relationships and where to seek support.
Within KS3 – KS5 individual sessions can be booked focusing on healthy relationships and domestic abuse, consent, the wider context of abuse and managing relationships.

XRoads
XRoads is a group programme which aims to show teenagers what healthy relationships look like, helping improving their own self-worth and confidence. The project also teaches young people about how to keep themselves safe, consent and how to access support.
In addition to the group work, we do a weekly drop in and encourage their families to look at what support is needed to move forward together once the programme has ended.

Professionals training
We run 2 hour training courses for education settings and leaders of youth groups and clubs. These training sessions help empower professionals to recognise and respond to domestic abuse amongst the young people and families in their settings and how to confidently respond with disclosures.
